7 Things You Can Do to Start Growing Closer to God

We’ve all gone through times and seasons in our lives where we’ve been close with God. But, something always seems to pull us away. In this episode of the Good Christian Podcast, Alex Sanfilippo covers 7 things you can do to start growing closer to God. For some of us, this means growing closer to God again, as we’ve slipped away. For others, this may be the first time we’re pursuing God.

  2. This podcast came at the perfect time in my life. I know I am a Christian, covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. Lately, I have wondered why I don’t feel the love for God that I’ve felt in the past. I’ve gotten caught up in our Wednesday night study of the prophetic books in the Old Testament and now the Millennium that I have neglected my Daily Bible Study for way too long. That was when I felt close to God. Even tho it is an old activity, it will be a new one as I have neglected it for so long. Catching up with the blog will bring such joy back to my life, I can’t wait to get started. I say catching up because I use the daily Bible studies from my church bulletin. I feel such joy spending time with the Holy Spirit when I’m writing that studying 2 or 3 suggested Scriptures each day. Getting back to writing the God inspired devotional book is another priority that has fallen by the wayside. Unfinished, God driven projects that must be completed as the writing will bring me closer to Him, my Lord and Savior.
