Humble yourself by submitting to God’s plan.

Humble yourself by submitting to God’s plan. He will make certain your success in accordance with his plan, not your own.

God will make each of us successful in the way that He has for us in the body of Christ, not the way we have our own success planned. The sooner we learn to surrender and submit to the plans God has, the sooner we will be used in a way that will make us successful.

In Luke 22:42 we see that Jesus understood that his father’s way was better than his own… “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

Jesus knew that even though it wasn’t something that he wanted to do; that if it was God’s plan, then that is what needed to happen. Because Jesus was obedient to God; we were all saved. In that moment, it wasn’t something Jesus wanted to do, it didn’t seem like the path to success. However, Jesus submitted and surrendered to God. When Jesus looks back now, he sees God’s plan for that moment, and the complete success that came from it.

Today I challenge you to surrender your own plans by humbly submitting to God’s. Your success will be ensured. Trust him no matter how good or bad things look from your perspective right now. Down the road, you will be able to look back and realize that you took the right path.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God.

James 4:10
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
