Olympic Gold Medalist Praises God

Simone Manuel (Olympic goldmetalist) is one of many athletes giving God praise after winning a medal in the 2016 Olympics. She is the first African-American to win a gold medal in a swimming event.

After winning the gold with tears running down her face, Simone told reporters, “All I can say is all glory to God. … I’m just so blessed.”

THE RIO 2016 GAMES PROVIDED THE BEST POSSIBLE ENVIRONMENT FOR PEAK PERFORMANCES. ATHLETES ENJOYED WORLD-CLASS FACILITIES, INCLUDING A SUPERB VILLAGE, ALL LOCATED IN ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST BEAUTIFUL CITIES, IN A COMPACT LAYOUT FOR MAXIMUM CONVENIENCE.

I came to know God through many trials and tribulations as a young adult. I have a peace and strength that is truly God given. My heart is to bring the lost, hurting, and broken to Christ. I strive to live my life to show people God's love, mercy, and grace.
